I wake up in the morning when the clock strikes seven,
hoping in my mind it is a Saturday and I can wait until eleven.
Throwing myself out of bed,
yhen looking in the mirror and frightened by the hair on my head.
Tiptoeing to the bathroom to keep quite so my mom can sleep,
even though I know she’s awake as I hear her alarm beep.
As I try to find a pair of socks that I hope can maybe match,
knowing that I still need to find some breakfast to snatch.
I’m putting together my lunch then throwing it in a sack,
while wobbling around because of the pains in my back.
Finding my shoes under the couch and covered in dust,
I need to hurry up because making it to school on time is a must!
