I Survived

I survived horse back riding,
The critique and criticism that cut right through you,
The awful, intimidating instructions,
Hot days in heavy clothing,
Evil butterflies right before a show,
I survived losing a friend,
Her soft muzzle and shiny mane,
Always together, best friends forever,
But her owner had more control,
The wrong words were heard and fights began,
I never saw Sadie again.
