Trapped

Pain
Their anger lashes out
Like hungry fire
Over my raw burns
Creating more blisters
Eternally festering

Damage
They never understand
Tears stream down
Onto the pillow
Like a salty river
Murky and polluted

Afraid
A thousand ideas
Collide in my head
But there’s no one to talk to
Nowhere to turn
Because I’m too afraid of the flames
