Sunset
The sky is burning
with the colors of orange and red.
As the sun starts to fall,
into the mountains below,
Silence.
Except for the sound of water in the distance.
Peaceful.
Sitting and watching,
as the fiery ball says it’s goodbye.
Staring into the horizon,
wondering what a new day will bring.
As the sky is still growing more dim,
the colors change from reds and oranges,
to blues and purples.
So now I wait,
for the day to die,
and the night to be born.
