Love, (Tomatoes)
The seal wrote a letter with dried tomatoes,
Then used
Himself
To close it.
He wrote with such conviction,
And as he speaks with perfect diction,
I hate him.
His slippery nose,
Honking laugh,
And eager need,
To show off.
He follows me to the iceberg,
To make sure it doesn’t
Float away
While I dream.
I hate him.
His awkward fins,
Lopsided smile,
And eager need,
To impress me.
Maybe the seal isn’t too bad…
I do, like tomatoes, that is.
