It's been a while,
since i felt your love
come near my heart
or felt your strength
pick me up when i was down.

It's okay though,
I've realized that
I don't mind it so much,
not having you around
to stop me from being myself.

We did so much
and enjoyed so much time,
but the stress of it all,
was more than i could take
when we would argue and fight.

It's over now,
I understand that.
Can't say it's a problem,
since i haven't been feeling
like there was something for a while.

It's been a while,
since we even spoke a word.
We haven't held each other,
kissed each other,
or even looked into one another's eyes.

I hate to have to do this,
but it only seems right.
We haven't really been together,
for this past month and a half,
so it's time to really say goodbye.
