I could find the middle of nowhere on my GPS;
the coordinates cognitive dissonance,
a scientific calculation
clever sadness sheds
with the precision of ambiguity.
Overcast lives give ghosts definition
while the horizon line seeps
into equivocation,
a generation of escapees
we've found truth in confusion.

This piece was a reaction to an Adbusters article about how my generation is obsessed with loop holes in reality to escape in to. The article claimed today's information overload has led us all to become escapists. Later that day as I sat in my always overcast town in central pa my friend said to me, "Maybe our mission in life, the reason we met, is to find the middle of nowhere. Let's start under the rug"
