Oranges
As bright as the sun
Refreshing as can be
Feels like a tough basketball
Smells so citric and sweet
You hear the crackle as you peel
See the tasty vein looking fruit
And taste the tang on your tongue
As refreshing as ice cold water
The fruit known as much as Michael Jackson
I like them in mi arroz con leche
Feels not tough, but as rose petals
We see the orange wonder turn to nothing
I remember winter they weren’t so sweet
The bursting of flavor
As good as the summer air makes me not care
As bright as the summer sun
