Throw your hands in the air

If you’re a true player.
He’s not sure that he is,

After all the too-loose handshakes

Failed high fives

Ass-out, awkward hugs

Half-hearted fist pumping at concerts

(Could never get past head bobbing)
He has never seen a gang sign.
He’s seen hands scream
Caught in a Camry’s door

Nails turn black and die
He’s seen hands embracing
Hands shaking, trembling, quivering, with anxiety
Hands in tight balls
Grasping knees
Kneading knuckles
She puts a finger to her lips
He puts a finger to her lips
Butterfly handprints leopardprint her stomach.

So this is my first time posting on Teen Ink and, if possible, I'd like to edit this submission a little bit because it didn't come out quite right here. The line breaks are off, which destroys the flow of the poem. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
