Chasing Dreams

Chasing dreams is what were told to do,
but my dreams are to be with you.
Everytime I try to chase you,
you run away with fear.
So how do I chase my dreams?
Without you here.
Time goes by slowly,
as I sit on my porch staring.
Staring at my phone waiting,
for you to call.
My dreams of being with you,
slowly fade.
And my hope for us to be together,
turns to shame.
