Now distant smiles escaping from my
Oblivious childlike fantasies
Reduced to little more than
A blur of motion
Running away, running away
Running away.
Leaving behind my heart
An empty shell on the floor.
I once believed in a beautiful future
A fantastic dream-like place.
But reality has gotten in the way.
