A Candle

April 28, 2010
By Anonymous

A
candle
flickers
in the dim
light.
Telling
the darkness,
to back off.
Smelling
of beeswax
and smoke.
The smell and the light bring cheer to all.
Sitting and reading by the candlelight.
Moving in to a new realm of magic and mystery,
Where
anything
can happen and sometimes
does.
Where I can be a mage,
a bard,
a knight.
But when things
get to
scary I can always come home to my candle.
