It's cold,...
Most likely below freezing.
But there won't be any snow tonight,
the sky is clear.
The sidewalk feels like it's frozen.
The stars are wicked pretty tonight.
Not that they aren't every night,
but they're just more noticeable.
The moon isn't full,
but still very bright.
There's no wind,
so the only thing that could make tonight any better,
would be warmth.
Although,
even the bitter cold seems right tonight.
Nobody else is out on the street,
but I can see the curtains move in nearby houses,
so I know that I'm not the only nocturnal one around.
The water is so pretty in the moonlight...
no big waves...
just gentle ripples.
It looks like a moving mirror.
I wish I could just sit out here all night,
but my nose is starting to get cold,...
so I should probably go back inside now.
