Memories strewn across my life,
Meaningless, yet priceless.
My eyes, dry, cry for you.
My throat, with its raspy breaths, wishes
that it could breathe for you.
My heart, beating, laments the silence of yours.
You have your white wings now,
Basking in the glow of your halo.
My eyes thirst for a glimpse of you,
My angel in heaven—
My angel on earth.
I hope they love you like we do.
