I shield
My pain
From the world
I must
Be strong
For my family
I cry
All alone
On the inside
I am
Going to
Be all they need
I hide
My fears
With smiles
I break inside
The storm
I scream
Silent goodbyes
Because
I will
Always be
The one who survives.

i recently found that i have cancer and at 15 this was a shock but no one knows that i feel this way.
