That day replays in my mind.
Trying to say good-bye, but tears only fall.
I lie the flower down on your casket, and whisper good-bye.
As they start to lower your casket the urge to run goes through me,
I resist and walk away.
As i wipe away the tears, and whisper good-bye.


The author's comments:
I wrote this for my friend that died in a house fire when he was only ten years old. I just spend the weekend with him a few days before he died so this poem means a lot to me.
