Do You Remember
Do you remember? I do.
A day in Hawaii,
We were in the hotel,
Lying in bed,
The covers on our backs made us feel safe,
Like sleeping on a cloud
And my pillow made my head rest.
Our conversation was nothing,
Our faces in our pillows,
I can’t remember
Our words
They were gone
Like clear blue waves
Crashing on the beach
Then I opened the blinds,
The sun shone like a glittering tide pool
Flowing all over our bodies
The wall behind us shimmered like diamonds
Do you remember?
That day in Hawaii?
I do.
