A friend is someone you can trust,
With as much as you life or as little as dust.
They're always there when you are down,
And are unaffected by your sad frown.
They can come in any shape or size,
They tell you the truth but no lies.
But you must do the same for them, Or you friendship will be cutoff at the stem.
So remember to be nice to them as they are to you,
Regardless of whether they are old or new.
