Waiting on a Fairy Tale

They talk about fairy tales
Prince Charming and Cinderella
We both smile, each of us only wishing
When the truth is:
When my world’s crashing down
When my sun is burning out
When all those stars come falling
You will be the one who holds me
You’re the one who keeps me sane
I never want you to leave
I want our happily ever after
I know this feeling will never go away
Every word you speak
Brings me happiness
Every time you whisper in my ear
I can’t help but smile
The light at the end of my tunnel
Is finally coming into view
It’s bright and beautiful
It just has to be you
So, if hoping for fairytales
And wishing on stars
Is what we have now
Just imagine the future
We just have to make it through
We just have to keep it going
Everything will fall into place
All we have to do is wait

I really like this piece, I like how you put sort of a repetition, to emphasize the point your getting across (poems seem to do really good with that sort of stuff).  Such as: "We just have to make it through, We just have to keep it going" and the "When my world's crashing down, When my sun is burning out, When all those stars come falling"  there are a couple other examples in the poem too, but those just helped me get across the point.  Awesome work, keep writing!
