beneath the makeup and behind the smile im just the girl who wishes for the world

As i look in the mirror i don't see myself
i see a girl who apparently looks like me
as my friends and family would say
but i wouldn't know
her spirit doesn't seem like mine
her movements although following mine seem stiffer
she wears the same smile but there's something
something hidden behind it
she seems depressed looking out
watching the world outside
outside her glass box
maybe she likes it behind closed doors
away from the pain
away from the wars
but i wouldn't know
watching her i couldn't tell
i wish her to speak
but she has no voice
the poor mirror girl stuck
behind closed doors
or not
maybe shes free
in her box is there freedom
i wonder while watching her watching me
