What I say is an honest list
bringing curls to your lips, whitening your smile
I’ve given hope as powerful as repeating numbers
but your subscribed to a tight lace of white lies
you’re classic
institutionalizing childhood
as if we weren’t notified by the fluorescent highlighter ink
but I will pull the draw strings tighter, restricting fresh air
till what’s solidified turns liquid
melting tires into asphalt
