It Likes to scare People
It Preaches About
Death
Violence
Disease
Not a Single good thing to Say
The News
Is Nosy
Constantly Poking
Around in people’s Affairs
Setting Deadlines on when
To Report stories of Tragedy
The News
It Reminds Me
of Cranky Tree Huggers
Griping about
Their Needs and Demands
The News
It’s a Clutz
That tries to help
But half the time
Manages to sprain Its ankles
And twist Its Ribs in the process

I remember watching the news one night, and it starts out good evening, and then it goes into everything that is wrong with the world. Sometimes there's a little positive note or story at the end of the broadcast. It's kind of like telling a ten year old kid their parents have died, but giving them a teddy bear as closure.
