Impractical Courtship
Love is blind, love is fair;
yet Salmon was eaten by Bear.
She swam so fast up the river,
to meet her mammal love who called her hither.
Thus she quickly doubled her speed,
eager to meet her mate.
Yet for Bear rapacity did supersede,
and thus consolidated were the dooms of fate.
From deep below the tummy that was now filled,
grew an abyss that emited feelings of woe;
How could he live when his love he killed?
His tummy replied, "because I said so".
