The Moments You Smile at Me
It's the darkest hour before dawn
And calm before the storm
Up is down
Down is here
Here we are
And this will change
Go with the flow, the tides
The tides can drown a child
Or carry a refugee home
See the forest for it's trees
The bleeding, crying trees
The forest will be bare
Lonely inhabitants, widowing birds
Orphan offspring
We'll do it to ourselves
No one will keep our records
Once we're gone
None will ever know
But we'll remember for ever
Because we WERE
we ARE
and this IS
It will crumble like bread
From the same hands that molded the dough
The moments you smile at me
Will change the world
Only when we rest
Can world will change it's self
The moments you smile at me
Will change the world
