The Middle

Who knew silence could suffocate
and darkness could smother
I feel trapped and alone
my only company is the nightmares I'm forced to face
Trapped between life and death
stuck forever in the middle
Hours drag past
as days stretch on for eternity
Then I'm numb
All my feelings drained out
I long for death
Giving up on life
But I'm stuck in the middle
Longing for an end
but none seems to come
Living with the pain of death
but forced to live it
I'm in the middle
where I'll stay
stuck forever
