Dress me up in feathers and leather and, no matter the weather, the skies above us are always better.

Dress me up in cashmere and diamonds and then you'll see the beautiful horizon widen as I take a bow and the diamonds shatter as cashmere rips at the seams.

You have made me so very unclean, haven't you?

Dress me up in satin and laces to hide my disgraces, to try and avoid the faces that occupy the spaces in-between.

Dress me up in silver and gold and try to lead me into a world unknown and untold.

I wrote this piece a long time ago, and if I can remember right, I gained insipration from my friend, who was going through a tough relationship. Her boyfriend was very possessive, and tried to control almost every aspect of her life.
