As of Late

As of late, I can't sleep
Staring into the black abyss,
The soft, white glow of the night light
Revealing soft, blue fur of a unicorn
The plush, pink blankets surround me,
Reminding me of a time to drift away
Thinking of crimson sunsets,
My vision fades to grey
The yellow light seeping through green curtains,
Irritates my unadjusted eyes
I'd like to shut out golden sunlight,
And in the black, give sleep another try
