A week gone by
Full of rain
It’s unbelievable
In the desert
We call home
Were lucky to even experience a drop
But when it pours
It’s amazing
Hearing it pitter-patter when it hits the ground
Making you want to stand outside and be drenched in it
And sometimes you will, just to experience it
Because you fear it will be gone tomorrow
