My Hallmark Card
Our lives mesh so well
Like pieces to a puzzle
All our elaborate scenarios of “what if”
Our giddy giggles that last throughout the day
Even our sometimes cynical views on life
Bring us all together
The uncanny ability to interpret my jumbled sentences
And the prospects of new adventures
Lift my spirits
Our inside jokes
And never ending drama
Seem like it is what keeps Earth spinning
The whipped cream to my caramel frap
The laces to my shoes
The blue to my sky
The ink to my pen
The words to my poem
You all are what keep me going
And for that,
I thank you.
