what's really in my room
Walls may have ears
But they’d never spill secrets.
It can hide me away
And keep me safe from my fears.
It may echo my music in a colorful hammock
And guard all my keepsakes, memories and shoes.
But don’t be mistaken
I have a drawbridge and moat,
Self-doubt and failure is checked at the door.
It will watch me leave and welcome me back.
It’s the one and only place that’s purely me.
