Hammer and the Anvil
Now my will is that of a piece of metal
Between a hammer and an anvil
Its hit and hit and bent array but yet it stands
To take another until it’s worked into a beautiful
Work of art not a life bringer but that of a life taker
With each thrust it coats itself in a new beautiful red coat to
Be shown by its maker and the beholder this piece of metal is
That of love you bring it home to its sheath to be brought out
Again to bring another to you sometimes it may fail other times
It may not all you have to do is trust in your own will
And your own thrust and if your piece of metal breaks recover
And fashion one anew
