Pushing Through the Crowds
Pushing Through the Crowd
If I were in charge of the world
I’d cancel parking tickets,
De ja vu,
And fame, Id also cancel
Watermelon seeds along with pending shame
If I were in charge of the world
There’d be less light and more stars,
There’d be no smoke, no fumes, no flames
And I’d never be too big for bumper cars
I f I were in charge of the world
You wouldn’t have death
You wouldn’t be Hurt
You wouldn’t need faith
And the tune of a lullaby would be your saving grace
If I were in charge of the world
There would be no depression, no pills, no pot
There would be no maps because no one would be lost
And love would never come at a higher cost
And a person who sometimes feels lost in a crowd
Surrounded by uncertainties speaking out loud
Would still be allowed to be
In charge of the World
