Blood Red
It's time for you to leave behind
The one you've come to care for.
He had turned out to be quite kind
And, honestly, you wanted to be with him more.
But the others, well, they didn't agree
So they sent someone to take you away.
You'll be with them for all eternity
Even though it's here you wish you could stay.
How could they possibly understand
All the love you have for him?
But as you're led past trees tall and grand
You realize your future might not be all that grim.
You come up with a plan
One that just might work.
It will tie you forever to this land
So in the darkness you can lurk.
As soon as the messenger turns his back
You manage to snatch and hide
In your hand, a small red sack
With blood red seeds inside.
Your lover sees it and realizes then
As you enter the world of skies and seas
That he shall see you once again
When the leaves fall from the trees.
