love struck.
I once had an unrequited love
It filled me with passionate longing
Beautiful heartache
In my miserable joy I lied to myself
Swore it was all I needed
It whispered promises that would not be kept
Destroyed me from the inside out
When I was at my lowest
Sadistic, my love was.
Well, maybe we both were.
My innocent self was just too love struck to notice.
I gazed with adoring eyes
Returned with cold metallic glares
I cherished and admired
It stung me until I felt no more.
Why did I stay, you ask
It was my drug, and I was too in love with an illusion to notice
I fell for false magic
For the razor never loved me back.
