I step off in the unknown
no one's there, I'm all alone
not sure of where I'll land
my foot hits something like sand

I push off the bottom and rise to the top
I don't know if I'll ever stop
I bruise my hand on the solid sand
someone unknown, puts out their hand

i hold on fast
i wondered how long this will last
all the stuff I've been through, you didn't care
you pull me close and say what i said was true

how could i forget you, you looked into my eyes and said i love you

tears stain my face
you pull of yhe knot of lace
i close my eyes and you lay with me and hold me tight
we say to each other i love you and good night

The author's comments:
this poem is about a girl who fell in love with this guy who didn't realize what he had until it was about lost. He promised her that he would always be there to keep her safe. She was hurting so bad because he said he didnt love her and she got lost in her sorrows and he didnt show up so she felt that he lied about his pomise.but at the end, he saves her and tells her his true feelings
