Favorite Quote:
Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn

Searching through the moonlight,
Searching through the sun,
Waiting for that African Drum.

Hear those drummers drum that beat,
You are dancing with your feet.
All around the fire you
Feel that beat inside your soul,
Listening to that African Drum.

Lift your hands up in the air,
Show your people that you care.
Move your feet from side to side.
Come on now and show your pride,
Dancing to that African Drum.

Pound your hands up and down,
Come on now, keep with this sound
You are drumming out our strength.
You're the ones who give us faith
To be part of this African Drum.

I am from America
And i do not know much.
But I am so in love with it,
The rythem of your drum.
Will you teach me of your ways,
Till the end of days?
Will you welcome me to be part of your African Drum?

The author's comments:
I wrote this after seeing a performance of a couple play African music on the drums. It was very inspirational.
