Good poetry
Deserves eager eyes
And respectful minds
No flippancy
Should arise
No one likes being told
That their work sucks
That's the kind of stuff
That makes people give up
Don't be disparaging
You might make a bigger impact
Than you had ever imagined

I wrote this poem for the people that criticize poetry instead of trying to understand it and see it the way the writer wanted them to.

I almost disagree. I feel like being constantly shot down would motivate you to be work harder than before to prove to yourself and everyone else that you're a great writer.
