As we must account for every idle word, so must we account for every idle silence.
-Benjamin Franklin

A wink, if that, seeks me out,
And I drown in a caressing lull,
Your smile and face are my secret place,
Your touch in my day,
Your eyes are a beacon in my night,
My secret compassion is a stir in my realms though in no other can you even tell,
Until the day you figure the truth the best I can do is give you a sad smile and say adieu,
for my heart beats for you and yours does not so I must go back to the dark place in which I hide myself away,
and dream of a better tomorrow.
