What happened so long ago

As the day gets closer
she is no where to be found
i sit on the steps
where we first met
as i cry i wonder
what has happened to her
were did she go
Why did my best friend leave so many years ago
i try to find her
as i remember
she was killed
all those years ago
and i blame myself
thou i try not to
let the pain and hurt show
now i wonder
why i let her go
if only i made her stay would she still be here today
