If we could be together,
I would light up the sky with stars,
And illuminate your heart with love.
I watched you fall from heaven,
But when I tried to catch you,
You fell right through my arms.
I’ll never let you fall again.
Even as your last breath carries away,
And your heart plays its last beat.
I’ll be there to catch you.
As the world crumbles down around us,
There will always be you and me.
So even as all life ends,
we’ll share the weight of the world.
When you return to the sky,
Every breath I take,
And every thought I have will be for you.
