Raging freely at camp
Bright light explodes
Roasting Marshmallows
A deep burnt orange

Destructing and creating
Creating warmth
Destructing earth
Flames flickering in the night

Water destroys it
Wood aids it
Beautiful colors within
A giant night light

A miniature sun
Erupting sparks
Swirling with smoke
Orange flames in the night

The author's comments:
The other day our heater broke so we have been using the fire place. I was on the couch in front of the fire writing in my notebook. The fire inspired me into writing this poem. Tell me what you think. I'm curious as to what other people think of my writing.
