White marble eyes, staring out into space,
Blank of all expression, all emotion,
A curious tilt of her head,
A serene smile playing upon the corners of her lips,
A snapshot of her life,
Of one moment lost forever in time,
Capturing all of her beauty, but none of her feeling,
Capturing all of her expression, but none of its meaning,
Capturing all but the thoughts in her mind,
Capturing all but the secrets she carries in her heart,
A tangible Mona Lisa.

Inspiration: the statues shown in the hall at Pemberley from the 2005 "Pride and Prejudice"
