I wish I could see you and smile
I wish I could take back what you said
I wish I never got myself hurt
I wish I never got you hurt
I wish I could say you were there for me
I wish I didnt have to say it was your fault
I wish i never had to face the truth that you werent as good a friend as i wanted you to be
I wish I didn't have to waste my time writing poems to make everything seem better
I wish I didnt have to hear your poor excuses
I wish I didn't have to see you with HIM
I wish I didn't have to feel how I feel about HIM
But I now say "No she's not my friend anymore
I now see you and feel hurt
I cant take back what you said
I cant undo how much you hurt me
I cant tell you you were there for me
I cant make you not feel hurt
I cant say it wasn't your fualt
I did face the truth that you weren't such a good A friend as I wanted you to be
I am writing songs and poems because they do make things seem better and worse
I do have to hear you poor excuses
I did see you with him
And I don't have to feel the way I do about him (yet I chose to and I know it will never work between me and him but i love him, and im not going to get myself hurt from him and you.)
