is it not the darkness that can drown you through the floors
of the very foundation that has stabilzied your pitiful life

is it not the lust that has driven your soul into a creation
of someting you never believed to be your future

maybe you always knew the black dripplets would soon
build up beneth your lurid past

and maybe at the end of crisp, cold trail
you'll find revelation and compensation

and maybe you will realize that the past cannot
dictate the future coming

unless you lead yourself to believe so
the path you create is the path to the greater life

find yourself upon a path well known
you find yourself back into the depth
where the struggle to crawl out
is much greater than the struggle to crawl down
