Favorite Quote:
"I write about...the masses! The individual doesn't count in modern society."
"But aren't the masses made up of individuals?"
"Don't quibble."
(not my own personal quote, but I like it - from "Stage Door")

There you go, passing me again
Not here, but in another world
I, the mere viewer through a screen
It’s the old rule: look but don’t touch.

Remember a time long ago?
You were so close within my grasp
I let you slip through my fingers
Like water falling through a sieve.

Have you ever made a mistake?
Done something you wished to take back?
And just cry, knowing it’s pointless,
Sit in a corner and want to die?

Since when have I become a ghost?
Even the moon ignores me now.
I no longer exist to you
Am I so insignificant?

Don’t you know how much I love you?
Can’t you see the pain that I feel?
Knowing I’ll never have you now
Free me from this heartless nightmare!

My heart is yours if you want it
I’ll hand it over as my gift
Yet every day’s not your birthday
And I have lost my every chance

You’ve made it clear I’ve failed you, Love
Red roses now wilt at my touch
The sun frowns on my existence
Home for another sleepless night.

Now standing in the rain I cry
No one here to see the tears fall
Disappear beneath unseeing eyes
Full hearts hold hope; broken, just despair.

I was told love is beautiful
But this is now and that was then
The truth is, love is only pain
A rose, with thorns to cut your heart.
