Their lights are red and often blue,
If you do something wrong they will come for you.
They wear special uniforms and have shiny badges,
Some have name tags or tiny patches.
They drive fast cars and some ride horses,
Some ride bikes and others just walk.
Most like to talk and just have fun,
But they know when to joke and when to be tough.
They work the streets and the beach,
All they want to do is protect and serve.
All I have to say is thank you to those,
who risk their lives to keep us safe at home.
