Bliss

I am going to sit a while
and think of all the ways
in which my life is filled with bliss;
with each passing moment
I grow happier until
the universe is pulsing
with the feeling.
I see rose petals in the water,
plucked from a flower that once
broke free from its sealed bud
as a butterfly’s wings bloomed
when the universe was pulsing with
the feeling.
May we open our eyes to see
the horizon
and our ears to hear
the eternal hum
of existence.
