With innocent eyes and soft brown curls
A girl who found out, too early, too hard
That the people we love bring the deepest scars
Somewhere out there is a lonely boy
Who closes his heart to what his eyes can't avoid
A boy who found out, too early, too hard
That violence and fear will never be far
Somewhere out there is a child who cries
A child who feels alone and doesn't know why
A child who found out, too early, too hard
That it's impossible to understand and not be torn apart
