I stare into the night time sky
With all the stars sparkling above me
He lays by my side holding my hand
He squeezes it tight
So I know he will always be there
He looks at me and whispers
“You’re the one I want the one I love
The one who is always at my side
The one I want forever.”
I stare into his dark eyes
As a tear rolls down my face
I don’t know what to say
Or how to say it
I manage to lean over and say
“You’re the only one I love
The only one I want
I won’t ever leave your side
I will be here forever to be with you.”
I give him a soft kiss and rest my head on his shoulder
He slowly holds me and kisses my forehead
We slowly drift off to sleep staring at the stars
Listening to each other’s breathing
