A time or two ago
I walked along that same path
Thinking those very same thoughts.
A time or two ago
I left a few things of mine
Along that forbidden road.
A time or two ago
I departed,
Trying to find myself,
But ended up lost in the path
I traveled once before.
A time or two ago
I became broken,
Forgotten
By those who walked that same path,
Who sauntered right by me,
Withered,
Helpless,
All just a time or two ago.
